About The Event

First launched in 2024, this conference is a specialised conference series hosted in Singapore, addressing the unique challenges of airport pavement sustainability and resilience. The aim of the SAPM Conference is to serve as a global platform for airport operators, industry experts, and professionals to exchange ideas, skills, knowledge, techniques, and best practices in airport pavement development and management.

Global air traffic is rebounding rapidly and is expected to exceed pre-pandemic levels, leading many countries in the Far East, South Asia and Southeast Asia to expand or build new airports.

This growth places increasing demands on airport operators to ensure that both new and existing pavements meet modern sustainability and safety standards, requiring strong pavement engineering expertise and effective management aligned with ICAO, IATA and FAA requirements.

Efficient pavement management especially for runways, is essential to ensure safe operations, minimize delays and extend pavement lifespan while maintaining high service performance and long-term environmental and economic sustainability.

Despite differences in climate, ground conditions, materials and organizational practices across airports, the core principles of sound pavement management remain consistent. Achieving operational, environmental and economic sustainability hinges on applying these principles effectively and learning from the experiences of others. This makes the sharing of ideas, techniques, and best practices among airport operators crucial to addressing common challenges and improving pavement management worldwide.
